An ingrown toenail is a very common problem and can be a debilitating condition that interferes with a person’s sporting activities, school or work.
In mild cases, there may be a small amount of redness, swelling and pain. In more moderate or severe cases, the toe may be very red, hot, swollen and very painful. If you notice pus or liquid oozing from the side of the toenail then you are best to see your general practitioner to see if you need antibiotics.
At Mooroolbark Podiatry we can help with the assessment, treatment and pain management of an ingrown toenail. Book an appointment for our professional services.
